GIANT : A celebration of The Music of Stan Rogers

On June 2, 1983, the music world was robbed of a GIANT of a man, a true musical GIANT, the one and only Stan Rogers. One of the true great Canadian singer/
songwriters of all time, he was taken from us far too soon while touring in the United States. Rogers died in an aircraft-related accident at the young age of 33.
With his booming voice, heartfelt songs and a charisma as large as the ocean and strong as the tide, Rogers won the hearts and ears of not only his Canadian compatriots coast to coast, but also globally.

The words and soul of the man travelled everywhere as unencumbered as an albatross soaring on the sea wind. Even among a notoriously fickle public of music consumers with their ever molting tastes and trends, Stan’s music began to grow exponentially in popularity as he made his way from venue to venue, stage to stage. Those songs, those great tales continue growing to this very day.

This show, GIANT: A Celebration of The Music of Stan Rogers is a joyous experience, a kitchen party, a chance to hear those great songs alive and proud. A homage and a love letter to one of this nation’s all-time greatest artists. Led by PEI musician and songwriter Aron Scott, this all-star cast includes some of the finest top-tier musicians bringing life to Roger’s music in the most vibrant and authentic fashion in this 2 hour show.
