The Summerside Arts Festival is about celebrating, promoting, and growing the city’s artistic and cultural community. It is about bringing awareness to the arts and establishing accessibility for all to enrich their lives with artistic connection that requires little commitment other than curiosity. It is about providing a stage for artists, artisans, musicians and more to showcase their work and talent, and personally interact with an audience. And most important of all it is simply about having fun, delighting the senses, and making interesting discoveries.
The Drive Thru Art Exhibit on Prince Street, open from 11 am to 8 pm on July 17th, 18th, and 19th, will feature works of art by local artists which can be enjoyed from the comfort of your vehicle. Inside the Lefurgey Cultural Centre will be an art exhibit. Walk through the lawns of Wyatt Heritage Properties where visitors will be able to see artists/ artisans demonstrating their craft while musical performances occur throughout the day. The REFRESH sculpture works will also be on view dispersed between the artists. People are invited to stroll the lawns and view the works. The 2023 Summerside Arts Festival will be a great celebration of our vibrant arts community.
