Andrew Evans (Headliner) – Thursday, October 17, 2024
Shortly after moving to Toronto from Dartmouth in late 2001, Andrew made an appearance on Open Mic with Mike Bullard. After winning the Laugh Resort’s funniest person with a day job competition in Toronto, Andrew was invited to perform at the prestigious Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal. He has performed at the very sought after Great Outdoor Comedy Fest opening for Anthony Jeselnik.
Furthermore he has been on the Halifax Comedy Fest, on Much Music’s hit show, Video on Trial and has his own half hour special that aired nationally on CTV and the Comedy Network.
Andrew’s sharp and often biting observations will have you laughing at him, at yourself and at the world around you.
Travis Lindsay (Headliner)
Travis Lindsay is the most prolific writer in East Coast Comedy. His great mix of jokes and storytelling has been captivating audiences since the age of 16. He was a finalist in 2024’s Canada’s Got Talent. He has had multiple appearances on CBC’s Halifax Comedy Festival and his debut album ‘The Kid is Alright’ went #1 on itunes Comedy Charts. In 2021 he joined Canada’s longest running comedy series This Hour Has 22 Minutes as an on air Correspondent and writer, Recorded for Just For Laughs Originals, was selected to perform at the Just For Laughs comedy festival as a part of the New Faces of Comedy and released his 2nd Album ‘Killed at the Funeral’. He has appeared on Comedy Night with Rick Mercer and will be featured on next season’sThe New Wave of Stand Up Comedy. Whether in a club, at a corporate event Travis will leave you laughing and asking for more
Jen Grant (Headliner)
Jen Grant is an award nominated stand up comedian as well as a dynamic keynote speaker. Originally from Ottawa, Jen was honoured to be profiled in Ottawa Life Magazine as one of the top 25 People in the Capital. A story telling, observational style of comedian, Jen is both unique and relatable. She writes about life and she will have you laughing until you’re crying. Funny tears. Jen is a clean comic who is adaptable to any setting and is an excellent choice for any corporate function. Her ability to weave hilarious jokes with funny audience interaction is extraordinary. As an accomplished comedian of 20 years, Jen has achieved virtually everything you can in the world of stand-up comedy in Canada. She has appeared on TV at every major comedy festival in the country including the Just for Laughs Festival, the Halifax and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival. She can also be heard on CBC’s ‘The Debaters’ and has her own TV special on The Comedy Network. One of her proudest achievements was when she performed for the Troops in the Middle East. Jen was the first Canadian to reach the finals of the prestigious Boston Comedy Competition and was listed as one of the top five funniest people in Toronto by Toronto Life Magazine.
Ron Josol (Headliner)
Ron Josol is a multi-talented Filipino-Canadian comedian who has been entertainingaudiences globally for over 25 years.
His unique brand of humor seamlessly blends together cultural differences and highlights the rich diversity of modern urban life. With hilarious jokes and stories about his FilipinoCanadian heritage, Ron brings laughter to crowds from one-liners to storytelling. He has been nominated for Best Male Comedian and Best Male Performance in Canada, and won the Just for Laughs competition in Ontario in 1998, leading him to perform at Just For Laughs Festival in Montreal.
Ron has graced many international stages, including the Kings ‘n Queens festival in Malaysia and Singapore, the Magners Comedy Festival in Asia, the LOL Comedy Festival in the Caribbean, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, and the Maui ALT Comedy Festival. He has appeared on several TV shows, including Comedy Now in Canada, two specials for Showtime Arabia, a Showtime special in the USA, Gotham Comedy Live for AXS TV, Comics Unleashed, Last Call with Carson Daly on NBC, and the new Kevin Hart LOL show.
Peter White (Headliner)
Peter White is a clean, clever comedian who can create a unique show for all. He began in comedy in 2005 and was named one of the ‘Top 5 Up and Coming Comedians in Canada’ by CBC Radio’s ‘So, You Think You’re Funny?’ within a year. He’s premiered at clubs, corporate events and theatres across Canada, including performed at some of comedy’s top film festivals including the Just for LaughsComedy Festival, Winnipeg Comedy Festival, Montreal Comedy Festival, and was at the Halifax Comedy Festival for three consecutive years.
He has an hour-long special for CTV and the Comedy Network’s Comedy Now. Peter has also established himself as a writer, working for the Gemini Award winning This Hour Has 22 Minutes and the Gemini Award Nominated That’s So Weird on YTV. He’s appeared with Pierce Brosnan in a television mini-series and has written and performed on CBC Radio One and XM Satellite Radio. His writing has been nominated for both a Canadian Comedy Award and a Writers Guild of Canada Award.
