Feast Dinner Theatre – Summerside

Feast Dinner Theatre proudly celebrates over 45 years of live entertainment, marking a remarkable legacy that began in Summerside, Prince Edward Island, in 1979. Co-created by Don Groom and Briane Nasimok, the original production—The Governor’s Feast—introduced audiences to a bold and engaging concept that blended dining with live performance.

Since those early days, Feast Dinner Theatres has staged productions spanning themes from the 1930s to the present day, entertaining audiences with its signature mix of music, comedy, and improvisation. Expansion followed quickly, with performances launching in Charlottetown in 1982, and later extending to New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Alberta.

Over the past four and a half decades, more than 150 original shows have been produced, showcasing the creativity and talent of countless performers, writers, directors, music directors, and choreographers. Today, Feast Dinner Theatres remains a beloved and uniquely Canadian entertainment experience—one that continues to delight audiences with laughter, storytelling, and unforgettable performances.

Back in 1979, one of Canada’s longest running dinner theatres got started in Summerside, P.E.I. It continues to play a central role for aspiring actors, forming a decade-spanning community that call themselves “Feasties.”
