(44 min | Distributed by Curio)

Rain can be both a life-giver and a powerful force of destruction. In this captivating episode of The Nature of Things, discover how rainfall shapes the lives of wildlife and people across Canada.

From the surprising benefits rain brings to spadefoot toads and grizzly bears, to the thrill it creates for whitewater kayakers, this film reveals the many ways water transforms the landscape. But when the skies open too much, rain can quickly turn dangerous, reminding us of nature’s unpredictable power.

Filmed in challenging conditions, crews go to extraordinary lengths to capture stunning footage of weather, wildlife, and human resilience in the face of Canada’s wild and ever-changing climate.
