Historic Ghostwalk

Discover the darker side of Summerside’s past during Historic Ghostwalk, a one-night-only Halloween tradition presented by Culture Summerside / Wyatt Heritage Properties.

Take a guided walk through Summerside’s historic district and encounter true stories drawn from the collections of the MacNaught History Centre and Archives. Each year, archival research uncovers a new collection of eerie, unusual, and sometimes unsettling moments from Summerside and Island history.

Along the route, volunteer actors bring these stories to life through dramatic vignettes, often presented near the locations where the actual events took place. It’s a unique way to experience local history—with just enough Halloween atmosphere to raise the hair on the back of your neck without the screaming fright factor.

Guided tours depart from the MacNaught History Centre and Archives, 75 Spring Street, every 10 minutes from 6:30–8:00 PM.
