2026 Centennial Cup — Presented by Tim Hortons

Hockey Canada, in partnership with the Canadian Junior Hockey League (CJHL), has announced that the City of Summerside has been selected to host the 2026 Centennial Cup, presented by Tim Hortons — Canada’s National Junior A Hockey Championship.

The 10-day championship will take place May 7–17, 2026, at Credit Union Place, bringing together Canada’s top Junior A hockey teams to compete for the national title. The host Summerside Western Capitals will face off against nine league champions, each earning their spot by winning their respective league titles during the 2025–26 season.

Prince Edward Island has a proud and longstanding connection to the Centennial Cup. Summerside previously hosted the championship in 1989, 1997, and 2013, while Charlottetown welcomed the event in 1971 and 2003. The 2026 tournament continues this strong tradition, returning national Junior A hockey to the Island once again.

Fans can expect elite competition, high-energy games, and a championship atmosphere as Summerside takes centre ice on the national stage.
