A Walk in the Wood – An Exhibition by Steve Leard
Local artist Steve Leard presents A Walk in the Wood, a captivating collection of woodworking, sketches, and hooked rugs.
A veteran who returned to PEI in 1992, Leard transitioned from a military career into a three-decade exploration of form, function, and design. His work blends traditional craftsmanship with imaginative storytelling.
The exhibition features intricately carved heirloom boxes, miniature houses, walking canes, wind catchers, black-and-white sketches, and hooked rugs. Leard’s imagery often explores mythical and surrealist themes, drawing inspiration from biomechanical artists such as H.R. Giger.
Explore imaginative woodworking and surrealist-inspired art by Steve Leard at Eptek Art & Culture Centre, March 3–April 2, 2026 (closed Saturdays & Mondays).
