Honouring Roy MacCaull, Featuring Carroll Baker, Joyce Seamone & Special Guests
Get ready for a special evening of music and storytelling in honour of the late Roy MacCaull, a multitalented musician and music legend in Prince Edward Island and throughout Canada.
Roy began singing as a teenager and moved to Toronto in the 1960s, where he was known as the “Singing Postman” and a member of Canada’s #1 Premier band, The Blue Diamonds, which had numerous record deals and hit songs. While in Toronto, he launched his solo career and had 8 singles on
the RPM: Canadian Music Weekly charts, including a top 10 hit. Roy moved back to Prince Edward Island in 1996, where he enjoyed writing, recording, and performing his songs. He shared the stage with numerous island musicians and encouraged others to pursue their musical dreams.
The star-studded lineup of performers includes Canada’s first lady of country music, Carroll Baker, and testing 1-2-3’s Joyce Seamone. Special guests include Marcella Richard, Larry Campbell, Kim Tuplin, Harold Noye, Steve Perry, Bobby MacLean, Jolee Patkai, and Whitecap Drive featuring Harold and Marnie Noye, Kim Tuplin, and Troy MacArthur. Roy loved to tell his stories; come out and enjoy an evening filled with some of these, alongside a selection of unforgettable songs.
