Snow-Jam Volleyball Tournament

The Summerside Recreational Volleyball League in conjunction with the City of Summerside is getting set to host there 1st Annual Crazy 8’s Snow Jam Winter Volleyball Tournament this coming February in Summerside, P.E.I. On the weekend of February 19-21, 2021 we will be hosting our 1st  Annual Snow-Jam Volleyball Tournament with all games being played at Credit Union Place. We will be able to register a maximum of 16 teams for this weekend’s tournament. There will be 2 Divisions of play, Recreational and Competitive…. This year’s Snow-Jam will have 8 courts of play, with all 8 courts at Credit Union place. Over $2000.00 in cash is up for grabs + merchandise prizes pending registered teams. With this many teams and players, it will make Credit Union Place an awesome spot to play and to watch the games so get signed up before spots run out.

So how does Crazy 8’s Tournament work ?…. You register a team of 8…4 male and 4 female, your 8 players will make a men’s 4’s, a women’s 4 and 2 co-ed 4’s teams. So basically all players in your group of 8 are on 2 teams a Men’s or Women’s 4’s and a co-ed 4’s…You make your teams to play together throughout the weekend, most times your men and women will all play at the same time. In international Snow Volleyball play only 3 players play each game with 1 player as a sub, but were not pro, all 4 players will play in every game. Crossovers and finals will be on Sunday. When registering I will need team names for all 4 teams, also if your Rec or Comp…Players names for each teams will also be needed for contact tracing.

We are working with the City for a few things to happen that weekend, the City is investing in a snow making machine to build the courts, also working on a few other things for that weekend to make things as enjoyable as possible for all players and fans. It is bound to be a great weekend and also the first of its kind in Atlantic Canada. I will put the same effort into this tournament as I do my other tournaments, hopefully this will build as well.

Register soon, limited spaces are available in each of the 2 division’s of play. You are not officially registered until we receive your team registration. Do not send etranfer until i give you the green light to do so, will likely be the last week of January, and you will likely only have 1 week to do so. Register as per normal, book your hotels as normal, I will send updates as normal as well. I just don’t want to have to send back a bunch of etransfers in case things crash here again with COV-ID. After February 1st your team entry fee is non-refundable unless its because of COV-ID. If you want in on this year’s tournament send me an email with your Team Name and Division to confirm your spot.

The Tournament is being held in Summerside P.E.I. with all games being played in Summerside at Credit Union Place in Summerside. Tournament play will run from Friday starting at 5:00 pm until Sunday ending at 5:00 pm. Local teams will play Thursday and Friday night starting at 5:00 pm. Off Island teams will start play on Friday night or Saturday morning.
