The Magic of Christmas at Wyatt Heritage Properties
The Magic of Christmas at Wyatt Heritage Properties: Christmas Trees Through the Ages Exhibit
Culture Summerside is celebrating the holiday season with The Magic of Christmas at Wyatt Heritage Properties: Christmas Trees Through the Ages exhibit. The Christmas tree is one of the central traditions of Christmas with a story that dates back centuries. For the Magic of Christmas, the main floor of the historic Lefurgey Cultural Centre will be transformed into an exhibit of twenty-five Christmas trees decorated according to the trends and happenings of various time periods. Each tree has its own story. The exhibit can perhaps best be described as entering into an evergreen forest that transports the participant into the element of nature in an indoor setting. A number of new trees have been added to the exhibit for 2021. A small number of Christmas mats hooked by members of the Lady Slipper Rug Hooking Guild will also be on display.
The Magic of Christmas at Wyatt Heritage Properties: Christmas Trees Through the Ages exhibit will open on December 6th and run through until December 17th. Admission is by donation. The exhibit will create a sense of magic for all ages. Culture Summerside invites everyone to make it a part of their holiday festivities. The Lefurgey Cultural Centre is located at 205 Prince Street, Summerside.
