Young at Heart Theatre presents: Fascinating Ladies of Country

Fascinating Ladies of Country is a joyful, powerful musical celebration of the women who reshaped country music—and helped move feminism and women’s liberation into the spotlight through song and activism. This spirited musical review honours artists who used their voices to challenge norms, tell women’s stories, and push for greater gender equality.

Audiences will enjoy beloved songs from iconic performers including Dolly Parton, Loretta Lynn, Tammy Wynette, Emmylou Harris, The Chicks, Brandi Carlile, k.d. lang, Anne Murray, Shania Twain, and more.

Written, compiled, and directed by Catherine O’Brien, with musical arrangements and direction by Brielle Ansems, the show features outstanding Island performers Olivia Blacquire, Stephanie Ross, and Haley Zavo.

Young at Heart Theatre is a charitable organization dedicated to enriching the lives of older adults through story and song. This performance is part of an island-wide tour bringing music and connection to long-term care and community care facilities, as well as welcoming venues like Harbourfront Theatre.
