Harbourfront Theatre

Located on Summerside’s waterfront, Harbourfront Theatre is a cozy, elegant 520-seat professional theatre presenting live music, theatre, dance, and special events year-round. With excellent sightlines and an intimate atmosphere, every performance feels close and memorable.

Founded through a community-driven vision, the theatre opened in 1996 as part of the Wyatt Centre, alongside the Eptek Art & Culture Centre and the PEI Sports Hall of Fame. The project was made possible through generous support from government, local businesses, and private donors—most notably The Wyatt Foundation, led by arts patron Dr. Wanda Wyatt.

During summer months, guided backstage tours offer visitors a behind-the-scenes look at the theatre and its history.

Harbourfront Theatre remains a cornerstone of Summerside’s cultural life—bringing people together through live performance on the waterfront.
