Remembrance Day Ceremony – Summerside
The City of Summerside invites residents and visitors to gather in remembrance on Wednesday, November 11, 2026, for the annual Remembrance Day Ceremony at Credit Union Place.
The ceremony provides an opportunity for the community to come together to honour and remember local veterans, those who served and sacrificed, and current members of the Canadian Armed Forces.
The public ceremony begins at 10:45 AM inside the Island Petroleum Energy Centre, with doors opening at 9:00 AM.

Those who prefer to pay their respects at the Summerside Cenotaph on Summer Street are also welcome to gather there.
Credit Union Place will have limited operations during the ceremony, with the remainder of the facility closed until 12:00 PM (noon).
Remembering Summerside’s Veterans
During the Remembrance Day season, watch for the commemorative veteran banners displayed along Water Street, organized by the Summerside Legion to recognize local service members.
