Harbour Filmworks Presents: Once Upon a Time in a Cinema (2025)

Step back into the 1980s for a hilarious and heartwarming celebration of moviegoing with Once Upon a Time in a Cinema, presented by Harbour Filmworks at Harbourfront Theatre in Summerside.

This charming comedy-drama follows Earl Clancy (Colin Morgan), a dedicated cinema manager struggling to keep his beloved single-screen theatre in business.

Between burst water pipes, troublesome rodents, rowdy moviegoers, unreliable equipment and mounting financial pressures, Earl and his loyal crew face one disaster after another. And with the growing popularity of VHS threatening the future of cinemas, keeping the doors open has never been more challenging!

Set over one chaotic evening, this nostalgic film captures the humour, heart and behind-the-scenes magic of a traditional movie theatre.

Grab your popcorn and enjoy a delightful tribute to the unforgettable experience of watching movies on the big screen!
