Lunchtime Film Series: Mighty Jerome
From acclaimed filmmaker Charles Officer, Mighty Jerome (2010) tells the powerful story of Harry Jerome, Canada’s most record-setting track and field athlete. This moving documentary traces Jerome’s rise, devastating setbacks, and extraordinary redemption, culminating in what his own coach described as “the greatest comeback in track and field history.”
Through striking black-and-white cinematography, impassioned interviews, and remarkable archival footage, the film captures both the athletic brilliance and the personal resilience of a Canadian sports legend.
