The Shipyard Songwriters Series welcomes Carleton Stone, an award-winning singer-songwriter from Cape Breton, Nova Scotia.
Carleton first released three solo albums before joining forces with Dylan Guthro and Breagh Mackinnon in 2015 to form the acclaimed pop trio Port Cities. After international touring and chart success, he returned to solo work while expanding his career as a producer and collaborator.
An exceptional songwriter, Carleton has written for and with artists including Ria Mae, Matt Andersen, The East Pointers, Donovan Woods, Classified, Bobby Bazini, and Neon Dreams. In recent years, he has also earned recognition for his production work, including Willie Stratton’s award-winning Drugstore Dreaming.
With three solo records, multiple awards, and international touring experience, Carleton Stone brings masterful songwriting and heartfelt storytelling to the Shipyard stage.
