Credit Union Place

Credit Union Place is Summerside’s premier hub for sports, entertainment, fitness, and community life. Originally known as the Summerside Wellness Centre during construction in 2006, the facility officially opened as Credit Union Place in January 2008, replacing the former Cahill Stadium, Steel Arena, and Centennial Pool.

Located just steps from the Summerside Waterfront, Credit Union Place is one of the most technologically advanced and versatile venues in the Maritimes and across Canada. With a capacity of up to 6,000 people, the Island Petroleum Energy Centre has welcomed many of the world’s top artists, athletes, and large-scale sporting events.

From championship hockey and live concerts to daily fitness and family-friendly recreation, Credit Union Place is a cornerstone of Summerside’s community—bringing people together year-round for unforgettable experiences.
