Past-Port Summerside

Founded in 2025, Past-Port Summerside is Summerside’s only dedicated historical walking tour, inviting visitors and locals alike to step back in time and discover the stories that shaped the city.

The tours are led by owner and guide Brendan Ronahan, whose love of local history and storytelling grew from his experience leading tours with the Summerside Historical Society in 2015 and 2016. His engaging style brings Summerside’s past to life—connecting people, places, and moments in a meaningful way.

Brendan holds a double major in History and Political Science, with a minor in Medieval and Renaissance Studies from the University of Prince Edward Island. Combined with years of research and deep community involvement, his background makes Past-Port Summerside a thoughtful, immersive way to experience the city’s rich heritage.
