Grounded: Seeking Connections @ Eptek Art and Culture Centre
Grounded: Seeking Connections, on display at the Eptek Art & Culture Centre in Summerside, PE from November 9th – December 24th, 2021. Grounded: Seeking Connections is an exploration of artistic attempts to connect to place, the natural world, and the artist’s role within it. The exhibition features work from William Baker, Doug Dumais, Maggie Henry, Monica Lacey, Sarah Saunders, LiliAnne Webster, Jane Whitten and Damien Worth. The selected artworks are in a range of mediums, including photography, sculpture, textile, video, painting, and mixed media. On display in the Lobby will be a PEI military history exhibit including uniforms. this town is small is Prince Edward Island artist-run centre, established in 2010. this town is small fosters sustainability for contemporary arts practice on PEI through providing creation, presentation, and development opportunities, often with multiple community partners and while promoting a public understanding of contemporary art. Eptek Art & Culture Centre is a site of the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation and is located at 130 Heather Moyse Drive on the Summerside waterfront, adjacent to the Harbourfront Theatre. The site is open year-round. November hours of operation are Tuesdays to Fridays 10 am – 4 pm, and Sundays from noon to 4 pm. Exhibit admission is by donation (suggested donation $3). Operations are adjusted to follow protocols put forth by the Chief Public Health Office.
