Scotland: My Ancestral Home – Art Exhibition by Ellen Martin

Discover the beauty, history and mystery of Scotland through the artwork of Island artist Ellen Martin in her exhibition, Scotland: My Ancestral Home, on display throughout October at the Harbourfront Theatre’s Lounge Gallery in Summerside.

Inspired by a recent journey to her ancestral homeland, Martin’s collection of original oil paintings captures the rugged landscapes, historic castles and spiritual connections she experienced while exploring Scotland.

The exhibition features large-scale paintings of iconic Scottish landmarks, including Moy Castle, Duart Castle and Eilean Donan Castle. Through her artwork, Martin brings to life the ancient beauty of these remarkable places, from the dramatic architecture of centuries-old castles to the swallows and sparrows she encountered along her travels.

Visitors are invited to explore Scotland through the artist’s eyes and experience the sense of wonder, history and connection that inspired her work.
