Get Invigorated

As we’re writing this, it’s officially Spring! But with some snow still on the ground and the temperatures in the minus, it’s a bit hard to shake off the winter blues! Nevertheless, Summerside has just what you need to feel refreshed and renewed this season!

Get Invigorated

During the depths of winter, we can understand the lackluster attitude to get out of the house. But with the temperatures warmer than they were and the sun finally shining longer into the evening, it’s time to get invigorated.

Golfing the winter away at Double Eagle Indoor Golf

We’re all missing the scorching days of summer on the course, but Double Eagle Indoor Golf means we don’t have to lose out on our golf game! Grab your gang and work on your putt, try your new nine-iron, or practice your long game with a few long drives!

Feel the beat with live music

We may have some FOMO over the upcoming summer concert series, but there’s loads of music to bring the toe-tapping fun in Summerside! Every week some of your favourite restos offer live entertainment for you to groove to while you dine! Not to mention Harbourfront Theatre and the Scott McAulay Performance

Walk the Block

Summerside is a 👏 walkable 👏 city! With sidewalks, trail systems, and active-transportation lanes there are so many opportunities to explore the city without the use of an automobile! One of our favoruites things to do when the snow melts is roaming around out historic district and downtown core! Whether it’s on wheels or on two feet, you can take in the waterfront views while shopping the boutiques, sipping on a coffee, or looking at historic architecture.

The Evermoore Brewing Co. 5 Miler

Looking to participate in a fun race, but with a waterview? Evermoore Brewing Co.’s 5 Miler is a great opportunity for you to walk/run our beautiful waterfront while participating in a PEI Marathon event and raising money for the Canadian Mental Health Association – PEI.  For more information or to register, click here

The ultimate at home pamper-kit

Now if you’re a real homebody, putting together a pamper-yourself kit to enjoy from your home is essential to feel refreshed and ready for spring. There are several businesses in the city that have everything you need for a spa day at home! Home by Caley Joy has some delicious smelling candles, diffusers, and room sprays to set the scent scene for you! Did you know her soy-wax candles are poured in-house?! Celtic Mist has everything you’ll need to cleanse your energy with sage, incense, crystals and essential oils all available for purchase (ask Kat what she recommends! She’ll know the perfect blend or crystal to help you feel rejuvenated). And Soapaholic Soaps Inc. feature soap bars from the Island Potato Soap Company (we’re PEI, we are known for those spuds)!

Active living in Summerside

With some snow still on the ground, you can be sure to enjoy some cross-country skiing and snowshoeing through Rotary Friendship Park! But as the thaw hits, we can’t wait for hikes on our trail systems, biking along the boardwalk, and picnics by the sea!

A Day at the Spa

Two words. Spa Day. But in all seriousness, a day at the spa with professionals who can give you a decadent facial, a sleek manicure and pedicure, or a deep tissue massage can go a long way in helping you feel revitalized! Did you know Mint Spa offers a wide array of services including registered massage therapy, mini retreats, and stress relief packages!? With a skilled staff you can sit back and relax and enjoy some time for yourself (ok, brb we’re booking a package now).
