The Songs of Gene MacLellan

With four shows remaining, Catherine MacLellan’s summer concert series at Harbourfront Theatre is a must see! Breaking down the tunes and tall tales about her father, iconic singer-songwriter Gene MacLellan, Catherine dispels the myths and delivers a message of love and learning as she performs Gene’s songs for the audience. 

Show dates include: August 1, 2, 22, 23. Show starts at 7:30 p.m..

Ceilidh in the Park with Michael Pendergast

Fridays this August and September Island singer songwriter Michael Pendergast is prepared to spin a yarn with his friends from near and far! Each week Michael will curate each show as a “visit” to both comical and poignant places and will include a variety of guest performers to enhance that journey. This means that no two shows will be exactly alike for the nine-week show run so people can enjoy coming to the show more than once. These all ages ceilidhs are free admission, but donations are welcomed. 

Don’t miss the shows, every Friday starting in August from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Wyatt Heritage Properties.

Highland Storm

An exhilarating evening of Celtic music and dance, Highland Storm will captivate you with stunning displays of the Highland and step dancers and breathtaking sounds from the pipes and drums! Recently reworked, Highland Storm tells the story of the Scottish Settlers on the boats the Annabella, Edinburgh, and Falmouth who arrived on the Island more than 250 years ago. Held at the Scott MacAulay Performing Arts Centre, this is one Island experience you won’t want to miss!

Jerry Seinfeld at Credit Union Place 

There may be no soup for you, but there’s sure to be a lot of laughs when legendary comedian Jerry Seinfeld returns to Summerside on August 12! You’re sure to enjoy yourself at this awesome venue for a great night in #thecitybythesea!

Every week some of our favourite restos have live music and activities for you to enjoy! 

Evermoore Brewing Co. 

Saturdays at Evermoore are one of the best! Don’t miss their traditional Irish Jam sessions with local fiddlers and musicians playing the tunes! Tap along, enjoy some brew and some great food! Jams start at 2 p.m. 

On Tuesdays, the gang at Evermoore also welcomes live entertainment by Island musicians for you to enjoy some ambiance while you enjoy some great eats! Music plays at 6 p.m.

Breakwater Bar & Grill/Silver Fox Entertainment Complex

Fridays and Saturdays, don’t miss musicians at Breakwater Bar & Grill! Located next to the marina, you’ll be sure to enjoy the view and some great music! Songs start at 9:30 p.m.

Brothers 2 

Thursdays and Fridays are the days to enjoy the tunes at Brothers 2! This bar and restaurant offers you some fine dining with great service, great food, and great music! Music plays at 7 p.m.

PEI Fall Flavours Food and Drink Festival 

Are you ready for a toe-tapping, hand-clapping old fashioned kitchen party in #TheCityByTheSea! Don’t miss Up West Kitchen Fest this October as part of the 2023 The PEI Fall Flavours Food & Drink Festival

Picture the parties in your grandma’s kitchen, the food is delicious, the music is great, the laughs are loud and the games are fun! We’ve got internationally renowned fiddler Richard Wood to kick off our musical adventure for the evening! He’ll deliver the heat and the kitchen party tunes for the first half of the evening! Island artist Logan Richard will take over for the second half with some bluesy, folksy, rock and Island music you will be sure to love (we’re not just saying that!)

Stellar Somm Lesley Quinn will also be on site and we are so excited to see that she will concoct for her curated cocktail special for Up West Kitchen Fest! Also featuring local beers and ciders, Up West Kitchen Fest is delivering Island flavour and cuisine in many ways! 

Featuring a curated menu of Canada’s Food Island Recipes, several Summerside restos will prepare for you a meal to savour and enjoy! And we can’t forget about the Island’s BIGGEST charcuterie board!
